CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING

Join My Mailing List

  • How many years of personal training experience do you have?
I have been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2015
  • What types of certifications do you have?
Weight Loss Specialist, Senior Fitness Specialist, Kettlebell Level 1, Steel Mace, TRX Suspension Certified, and Nutrition Coach
  • What style of fitness do you enjoy developing? Why?
I think that one should master their body before anything else. External load should follow once a baseline has been established.
  • When did you decide to pursue a career in fitness and what inspired you?
I have always been an athlete. I was an all-state soccer player, two sport collegiate athlete in the DII Sunshine State Conference (soccer and tennis) and a semi-pro soccer player for the Rhode Island Reds. Through my athletic endeavors I always respected hard work and what the human body could accomplish. I was introduced to the gym at 16 by a friend and was hooked. Friends would always ask to train with me or give them pointers. I decided it was time to know if what I was saying was sound advice and understand the WHY and not just the “what” of a movement.
  • What motivates you to be a personal trainer?
I love seeing client’s progress and watch them do things they couldn’t before. Before working independently my manager once asked me that question and I gave that answer. She laughed and asked me what was the truth, pushing sales and monetary gain. That was when I truly knew I couldn’t work in that environment.
  • What kind of experience do you like to offer your clients?
I accommodate to whatever the clients wish. I always ask a client how they want to feel after a workout. Some will say they want to feel paralyzed or on the brink of death, while others just want to move better. A good trainer has to adapt to the individual.
  • What would you tell someone who just visited your site about your work ethic and what to look forward to if they worked with you?
I would make it simple. Everyone matters. My goals are to get them to theirs. It’s not about the most badass plan that will get you to your goals in 6 weeks or less. It’s about the program that will build healthy behaviors and create a perpetual change that will last a lifetime. I say this because there is a very hard truth to fitness… MOST people quit. It is sad but true. Due to the overwhelming pressure and changes a person tries to take on at once. Everyone is different and its important to properly assess what a person can realistically commit to.
  • How is having a personal trainer beneficial?
Personal Training creates a customized routine based off of an individuals goals and ability to safely and efficiently help them through their fitness journey. Within each workout and trainer will track weight, rest time, tempo and progress various factors systematically to continually challenge the client in a safe environment.
  • How would you differ from other personal trainers?
I don’t know them; I know myself. Clients come first. To be successful you have to demonstrate your value. Let’s get started.
